SW10 Subwoofer

If you are looking to anchor a home audio or desktop setup with tight, musical bass without breaking the bank, the SW10 is an absolute winner. I've put this through its paces with everything from classic rock and heavy basslines to old-school R&B, and it handles deep transients with zero muddy overhang or flub.
Build quality is solid, footprint is manageable, and the crossover and gain controls give you precise tuning so it blends seamlessly with bookshelf speakers instead of just drowning them out. Excellent value for money and a fantastic addition to any audio chain. Highly recommended!

SW10

The Fosi SW10 delivers tight, accurate, and deep low-end response that punches well above its weight class. Crossover integration is smooth, and the down-firing driver provides incredible physical resonance without distorting or overwhelming the mid-range and highs. If you want true full-range depth on your rig, this is an absolute steal for the money.

Looks and sounds amazing!!

What can I say about this Sub other than it’s pretty much the best looking sub out there, no joke even my wife likes it and she is anti any new things in the living room lol

The sound is also something that impressed me for music, the paring with the Fosi 601 speakers is a match made in heaven.

I’m actually thinking of getting another one, not sure why, but o my god would it look cool hahahaha

Highly recommended

A solid and well-designed subwoofer

TLDR: A fantastic subwoofer in terms of design, power and sound that is also a good value. It restores the bass your main speakers can't deliver.

I splurged on Fosi's SW10 subwoofer along with their ZD3 DAC/pre-amp and the ZA3 amplifier - this was to drive and complement a set of the 2025 Sony Core Series bookshelf speakers (SS-CS5M2). At the same time, having recently configured a modern car audio system, I was anxious about the lack of a high-pass filter on the ZA3 for my mains given the SW10's anticipated bass coverage and the belief that allowing mains to focus only on frequencies they handle best while there's a subwoofer around is a good thing. So I also ordered a Douk/Ampapa D1 amplifier with it's HPF, balanced inputs and 12v trigger to connect with the ZD3.

Now the SW10 subwoofer is now connected directly to the ZD3's RCA outputs, the Ampapa D1 to the ZD3's balanced outputs, and the system volume is controlled at the ZD3 pre-amp (usually via HDMI CEC using an Apple TV 4K Siri Remote :-).

The well-adjusted, powerful, 10", down-firing SW10 restores that clear full-feel bass I remember from playing Neil Young's Harvest LP and all the Beatles music on my parents' huge vintage Magnavox furniture piece stereo with its 10" woofers and that just doesn't happen on ~5" bookshelf speakers.

I also love that the SW10 phase adjustment is made easier and more accurate with a variable 0-180 phase adjustment dial (as opposed to just a Normal/Reverse phase switch), while the crossover and volume/gain dials also work smoothly.

My only minor gripe was being unable to satisfy my boring preference for 'space gray' instead of white, but I'm getting used to the white and I won't subtract a star for that :-). Buy one and enjoy.

Big wubs, pretty package.

I was lucky enough to get two of these shortly after release. Running these in stereo is a game changer. No need to shake the house as clarity is there at mid to low volumes, however there is quite a bit of power there too.

Very unobtrusive esthetic wise. Small oblong amp plate on the back and driver on the bottom.

Honest, Punchy Bass at a Great Price!! Fosi Sw10

When I first got the Fosi SW10, I didn’t expect too much. It’s reasonably priced, looks simple, and doesn’t try to look flashy. But once I hooked it up and started listening, it immediately impressed me. The SW10 delivers bass that feels solid, clean, and surprisingly refined for the price.
The low end response is tight and well controlled not the kind of muddy, overblown bass you sometimes get from cheaper subs. It adds real weight to the sound without overpowering the mids or highs. With EDM or hip-hop, you get that satisfying, physical punch. With jazz, acoustic, or even classical, it just rounds out the sound naturally. It’s the kind of bass that feels integrated, not forced and that’s rare at this price point.
Build quality is also better than expected. The matte finish looks clean and professional, and the cabinet feels sturdy and well damped. Even when pushing it at higher volumes, there’s no rattling or buzzing. The knobs for gain, crossover, and phase all move smoothly and make setup simple. You can tell Fosi actually cared about how this thing feels to use, not just how it sounds.
Performance wise, the SW10 has plenty of power for small and medium sized rooms. Even at lower volume levels, the bass is present and nicely balanced. When you turn it up, it delivers a full, room filling low end without losing control or clarity. It pairs beautifully with Fosi’s own amps but works just as well with other brands. In a nearfield or desktop setup, it really shines providing that missing depth without overdoing it.
After using it for a while, I’d say the SW10 is one of those products that just quietly gets everything right. It doesn’t try too hard, and it doesn’t need to. It’s well-built, sounds great, and offers a kind of honest, musical bass that fits perfectly into most setups.
If you’re looking for a subwoofer that’s clean, punchy, and well-balanced something that enhances your system without breaking the bank the Fosi Audio SW10 is an easy recommendation. It’s not trying to shake your walls; it’s trying to make your music sound right. And it does exactly that.

An immediate improvement

I did not expect to see these so soon!!!

I submitted the subwoofer feedback survey back when Fosi was asking and they released something nearly identical to the specifications I suggested. I felt obligated to buy them because of how good of a match they are! I bought two because they were half the price point I expected with the spec.

For comparison, I used two Dayton audio SUB-1200s. They were $199 each and have front firing 12s with 100w amps. They felt considerably underpowered and I had phasing issues due to their location and lack of adjustability.

Out of the box the Fosi subs are crisp, compact, and very clean cut. I do not like the white. Why it is the first and only color available is surprising. I am considering ways to refinish these soon.

I'm only a couple of hours into break-in and these are much more impactful than what I replaced. The down-firing driver makes a drasticly increased tactile experience.

Musically, they're very clean and easily fill a 16x20 room.

I have yet to listen to them in surround sound, which is a secondary purpose for me.

I estimate with 100 hours or so of break-in and fine tuning phase, crossover points, and port direction, I am going to be a very happy camper.

Great for storage facilities

Pretty awesome product so far.
Having used this in my desktop DAC setup all by Fosi Audio I needed a bit more bass at my storage unit while working on my cars.

My JBL PartyBox 300 sounds great as is but with the addition of this Fosi sub it now hits the low end with authority.

One thing about being in a storage unit is you can crank it up loud which is what I do and jam out all day long building my cars and bikes.

My music tastes are vast and the Fosi sub accepts the assignment with aplomb.
Great sub box when set properly.

Fosi has been a go to for a few audio projects and I am more than happy with what they're doing in the audio game.

Great with bookshelf speakers.

Added two subs to my 5" bookshelfs and they matched really well. I tried three other very good subs and they did not match with my beta 5 bass

SW10: Great Subwoofer

I have small (4-inch midrange/woofer) 2-way speakers in an office / guest bedroom where I do most of my music listening. It is in a multi-story condo so I have to keep the volume down, plus the guest bed really dampens the sound. Getting the SW10 was a game changer for me. It fixes everything and its small footprint is a bonus. Great price too. Highly recommended.

wonderful subwoofer

I set up my system using the ULTRADRIVE PRO DCX2496 crossover and got excellent results paired with the Hivi Swan D300.

Great sub!

This one's an easy to recommend - sub has actual dampening material inside. Unlike most subs in this price category, Fosi didn't cheap out on one of the most important pieces of the sub - dampening material. No rattle, just pure bass. Great value yet again!

Great price, Amazing quality. Absolutely amazed.

I had been putting off the purchase of a subwoofer for a while. I have two KEF 105's with 12 inch woofers so bass reponse was not really an issue. I bought the Fosi sub for a new system I'm building. A small form factor Fosi based system using smaller speakers and Fosi V3'S IN Mono coupled with a ZD3 plus other peripherals. I deemed a subwoofer essential to the setup. I was not wrong. It filled in the sonic space that the smaller speakers I was employing. It improved the tonal quality immensely. The system is a work in progress but Fosi came through again. Impressed and satisfied are words that don't reflect my true satisfaction. Great work Fosi, it's why I return again and again.
Thank you most kindly.

Great range of bass impact to a Fosi amp setup

Leveraging Fosi MC331 connected to KEF LS50 Metas and the Fosi SW10 Active Sub through PreOut. Sounds amazing! Spectrum of bass impact available leveraging on sub volume and crossover adjustments.
Great addition to the Metas to add just enough low end bass.

Muy buenos bajos

Está muy bien acabado y suena fenomenal La única queja que para ser un woofer de 10 pulgadas el recinto es muy grande. Supongo que han comprobado que es el correcto pero se me hace grande.

For the money, this is a no brainer. I got my SW10 (delivered to NZ) for less than the price of a decent sub driver alone (in NZ). It's not magic, it's still going to have the limitations of a down firing ported 10 inch, but these limitations will all be minor compared to the potential issues from source, E.Q., room setup and main speaker crossovers.
My SW10 is driven from the LFE out of a ZA3 (driving CV LA165's), in a small-medium room, and has enough gain headroom to sound great on the EQ2 setting (music and movies). I find the EQ1 to be too boomy.
The sub's crossover roll off is quite gentle, and I think it will pair easily with almost all mains that are fed full range (when the settings are dialled in).
The cabinet is built very well, certainly better than anything else in its price range. I'm really enjoying it, and would highly recommend it to others. 2 of these in a home theatre would be awesome...

Great add for the SP601s

The set-up: SP601; SW10 & MC101
The use: BT streaming for phone & PC

I have this set-up in my home office (13x14) and I absolutely love the range of sound the SW10 gives the SP601s. The 601s produce great highs and mid-range and the low end from the SW10 really balances everything. I know that BT streaming isn't the purest signal but I think anyone with this set-up would be amazed at the rich tones produced. Kudos to Fosi for producing some of the most amazing components and value!
