Gave me a refund, bought another and it is amazing

I received a defective dac. It was working great for about 4 minutes before it started playing a feedback noise whenever sound was playing through the headphone jack. I tried every troubleshooting step I could think of and emailed fosi support. They had sent detailed troubleshooting steps through my email correspondence, however it became obvious to me that this unit I received was defective as it kept giving feedback noise. We were able to solve the feedback noise from playing by lowering the volume knob on the dac but it started having a consistent popping noise after just a few minutes of usage again (3-5 minutes of audio playing). This popping noise would trigger even earlier the louder the volume knob got and would show up whether i isolated the dac/amp as much as i could or tried different cables and devices. Their support team did issue a refund. I was able to buy another unit (to arrive more quickly) and it has been working just fine. The treble and bass knobs comes in very handy and sounds fantastic.

It drives my hd 560s really wel

Was a bit skeptical about these about these because there was a lot of mixed opinions. I guess I got the updated version and it works like a charm. The build is solid and looks good. It drives my CCA Trio and HD 560s really well.

Disappointed

my order should have arrived one week ago. but it still has not arrived. I'm very disappointed. i paid extra money to buy in official site and this is the reward i got for that.

Works well!

Works surprisingly well for an inexpensive DAC. Most of these are either super inexpensive (and seem risky); others tend to be very expensive (although they might work very well). This one audibly improved the sound quality on my small desktop computer speakers. You just need to disable any currently running equalizer or other sound adjusting apps so that this device will be recognized by Windows; then it works well every time.
