Creating high-quality audio sources is an important step in completing our HiFi ecosystem. Since 2023, we have focused on the streaming category, refining our products around real listening scenarios and the needs of music lovers.
The result is the S3, our first dedicated streamer. Designed as a versatile hub for modern HiFi systems, the S3 combines the roles of streamer, digital transport, DAC, and preamp in a single device. With stable wireless connectivity, flexible interfaces, and a balanced audio design, it delivers a clean and detailed signal to the rest of your audio system.
Stable and Flexible Wireless Streaming
The S3 is built for reliable wireless music playback across the home. It features dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 along with Bluetooth 5.3, supporting SBC and AAC codecs. This combination provides stable connectivity and smooth streaming whether you are playing music from your phone, computer, or network storage.
The device supports a wide range of streaming protocols, including Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, DLNA, and Roon Ready. Music can also be played directly from local NAS storage or online streaming services, allowing the S3 to integrate easily into existing music ecosystems.
At the moment, Roon Ready certification is still in progress, but users can access Roon through AirPlay 2 or Google Cast.
Simple Control with the Fosi Audio App
The S3 is designed to be easy to set up and control. Through the Fosi Audio App, users can manage playback, switch input and output modes, and configure system settings. The app also includes a built-in 5-band precision EQ, allowing users to fine-tune the sound according to their listening preferences.
Music Throughout Your Home
With support for Google Cast and AirPlay 2, the S3 enables multi-room synchronized playback. When multiple S3 units are placed in different rooms, they can be controlled from a phone or tablet so that all speakers play the same music at the same time.
This makes it easy to create a seamless wireless multi-room audio experience throughout the home.
High-Quality Audio Architecture
Inside the S3, the audio system is built around a combination of carefully selected components. The streamer is powered by the Amlogic A113X streaming platform and uses the AKM AK4493SEQ DAC, together with OPA1612 op-amps in a balanced circuit design.
This architecture helps deliver a clean and accurate audio signal, supporting playback of PCM audio up to 32-bit / 384kHz. The system achieves THD+N as low as 0.00018% and a signal-to-noise ratio up to 120 dB, ensuring a quiet background and detailed sound reproduction.
Balanced System Integration
The S3 features an independent AK4493SEQ DAC with dual op-amp differential amplification and XLR balanced outputs, designed for high-fidelity home audio systems.
For users building a balanced setup, we recommend pairing the S3 with Fosi Audio ZD3 and ZA3, which can help create a system with cleaner background noise, clearer layering, and a wider soundstage.
Designed for Home Audio Systems
The S3 also integrates easily into living-room audio setups. With HDMI eARC and a dedicated SUB OUT, it can connect directly to a TV and an active subwoofer to create a simple 2.1 home theater system.
Users can stream audio from anywhere in the home and enjoy a wide range of content, from radio to music streaming services.
