FAQs

Does DAP Neo support streaming apps such as Spotify and Apple Music?

DAP Neo is designed for local music playback. It does not support Wi-Fi, online music services, or the installation of streaming apps. Download the files to your memory card to enjoy the music.

Can I connect Bluetooth headphones or speakers?

Yes. DAP Neo supports SBC encoding and can send audio to Bluetooth headphones or speakers, but it cannot receive Bluetooth audio from a phone or other device.

Can DAP Neo play DRM-protected files?

DRM-protected songs require copyright verification for playback. Playback will fail without successful verification, and this is a standard limitation for all DAPs.

How long does the battery last?

According to tests, the DAP Neo has a maximum battery life of 12 hours. Actual battery life varies depending on settings and playback conditions.

Does DAP Neo support gapless playback?

Gapless playback is not available on DAP Neo.

 How do I skip tracks?

DAP Neo is operated using physical buttons and a click wheel; It does not support touch input. When the screen is locked, use the center button to control playback:

  • Press once: Play/pause.
  • Press twice: Next track.
  • Press three times: Previous track.

Compact, well-built MP3 player praised for portability and local file support. Customers said "very good looking" and "fits easily into my everyday bag." However, firmware issues cause playlist problems, file organization errors, and navigation wheel disappoints compared to original iPod. Sound quality described as neutral but lacking bass.

Love the Retro Look

I was looking for something different from the usual smartphone listening experience. The retro styling and dedicated-player concept make this an interesting addition to my everyday routine.

The locked system doesn’t read playlists imported to the player or custom wallpapers making a playlist on the player is a pain choosing 1 song at a time to add to the ABC or d playlist. I don’t know what you were thinking about to not include these basic system.

It is small in size , very well built and very good looking , does what it is designed to do for the price that it is sold, far from perfect but hopefully one day it may be so!
But even more expensive DAP's have their issues and are more annoying !

Great price and design somewhat let down by a poor navigation wheel. It works but not like the original iPod scroll wheel you are probably expecting. If there is ever a version two, that’s what they need to fix.

Unfinished firmware, usual device troubles. Fosi is a good brand but this guy disappoints for the price. Firmware will be fixed later but player itself itself well designed

Arrived in Good Condition

The package arrived in good condition, and the contents were intact. Always a relief when an electronic device makes it through shipping without any issues.

A Nice Player Without Breaking the Bank

For someone interested in trying a dedicated music player, the price makes it an appealing option. I appreciate that it offers a different listening experience without requiring a high-end budget

Cool Design and Controls

The design has a lot of personality, and I really like the way the physical controls fit into the overall look. It feels like a product made for people who appreciate music hardware.

First 24 Hours, looked like a neat little
Pocked player save me packing the Hiby for dog walks. Apple like presentation, good quality build, easy to navigate and that’s where it ends. Loading up with my music just 110Gb and the scan is a bit slow everything looks in order but open an album and the music files are all jumbled up eg. Open an artist/ Band and just random tracks from other artists nothin in any sort of order. Started
From scratch tried loading just a few and same. Not impressed so far and what I did
manage to play very neutral but lacking in bass on wired headphones, IEM’s same. Can’t see if gapless works as the Neo just jumps to a random track. Try again tomorrow. So for the moment my Hiby R6 is the dog walk player.

Small Enough to Take Anywhere

Didn't want another bulky gadget to carry around. This fits easily into my everyday bag, and I barely notice the extra weight. Battery life has been convenient for my usual listening routine, although actual runtime will depend on how you use it.

Finally Using My FLAC Library More

I've spent quite a bit of time building up a local music library, so a player that works with files I already own makes sense for me. I loaded my music onto a microSD card and can take it with me without relying on a streaming subscription or a good internet connection. For the way I listen, that works really well."
