What op‑amps are compatible with the BT20A PRO?
  • The BT20A PRO supports multiple Dual DIP-8 op-amps including NE5532 (stock default), MUSES02, OPA2604AP, OPA2134PA, LM4562, LME49720HA, OP249, SS3602, SS2590, NJM4556AD, and more. Different op-amps produce different sound characteristics. When using V7 series op-amps, please pay special attention to chassis clearance. Both op-amps must be replaced with the same model simultaneously.
What is the optimal setup for the BT20A PRO?
  • Setup Option 1: Source + BT20A PRO + Passive Speakers + Active Subwoofer (via PRE-OUT).
  • Setup Option 2: DAC/Preamp + BT20A PRO (PRE-OUT) + Power Amp + Passive Speakers..
How to: Choose the right banana plug?
  • Closed Screw Type. All Fosi amplifiers use standard-sized speaker terminals (4mm pins).

Happy to share my experience with the BT20A Pro and how it’s performing in my setup with the Bose Acoustimass 5 Series V system.
1. Why I chose the BT20A Pro for the Bose Acoustimass 5 Series V
Compact Footprint & Direct Drive: The Acoustimass 5 Series V system requires clean, robust current to properly drive the passive bass module and dual-cube satellite arrays. I wanted a dedicated, high-efficiency Class-D mini amp that could deliver serious power without taking up a massive footprint in the room.
TPA3255 Chipset Capabilities: Knowing the BT20A Pro utilizes the Texas Instruments TPA3255 chip with high headroom and ultra-low distortion (0.005% THD), I knew it had the clean output power required to drive the 4–8 ohm load of the Acoustimass module effortlessly.
2. Why the Denon DRA-800H didn't deliver the expected results
Overly Complex Signal Path: While the Denon DRA-800H is a solid full-sized receiver, its heavy processing, feature-dense AV routing, and softer Class-AB tuning felt overly warm and "polite" driving the Acoustimass system.
Lack of Dynamic Punch: The Bose passive Acoustimass module needs raw, fast transient power to deliver tight, punchy low-end response. The Denon sounded slightly muffled and soft in the mid-bass/lower frequencies, requiring too much volume tweaking and EQ manipulation just to get a lively, balanced soundstage.
3. How the BT20A Pro meets or exceeds my expectations
Immediate Clarity & Attack: The short, direct signal path of the BT20A Pro brought the Acoustimass 5 Series V to life immediately. Transient response is drastically improved—snare hits, basslines, and vocals are crisp, tight, and well-defined without any distortion.
Effortless Headroom: The power delivery from the TPA3255 provides instantaneous current. The system sounds fast, open, and effortless even at higher volumes, with zero thermal issues or background noise.
Simplicity & Tone Control: The dedicated physical bass and treble controls (with center detents) allow for quick, precise tuning without diving into complex digital menus. It delivers pure, uncolored Hi-Fi performance in a solid micro-chassis.
Overall, the BT20A Pro completely outclassed a standard full-size receiver for this specific application, delivering the dynamic attack and punch the Acoustimass system was designed for.

Great Power Amp

I would give a 5 stars to this amp. I bought the 48v options PSU to move the Kanto YU6 Passive speakers. I love the way the speakers have power and doesn't sound bad or with fatigue. Is a small component with a minimalist style. Some people say is a Scam, I ordered this amp, a phono preamp & a RCA cable without problem. I have other problem with their speakers that I have to pay more money for the shipping, but I talked with Linda of support and they refunded me the money of the speakers. I'm happy with my other products and I would recommend to buy with them.

Fantastic compact amp

The Fosi Ausio BT20A is a great little amp. The only thing little is the physical size. This little amp puts out a lot of clean power. I have the 48V PS to ensure I get the max power and have plenty of headroom for my setup. It’s very easy to use. I mainly use it for Bluetooth streaming from my phone but also have a turntable connected to it. Both inputs work great and sound fantastic. My only gripes are the lack of a trigger so it’s always on and drawing some power, and the inability to turn off Bluetooth completely. For the price though these missing features are not worth overlooking this amp. It runs warm when pushed hard for a long time but not so hot it will burn to the touch. I have yet to hit its thermal cutoff. I was using the amp solo but I recently paired the amp with a WiiM Ultra and together they sound even more amazing.

Great Amp for its price point.

I recently installed six Klipsch CDT-5800-CII ceiling speakers and needed an amp to drive them.
I bought the FOSI BT20A PRO. It is configured to drive three speakers in parallel for each channel.
My Wife plays her favorite tunes from her cell phone using Bluetooth. The sound is amazing.
My entire system uses Dual Banana plugs for easy connection. The only negative I can say about this amp is the speaker out is not of the proper spacing to fit the easy connect Dual Banana plug.

Great purchase, cool and powerfull amp.

I bought Fosi BT20A PRO as a step into small class D amps world (and I wasnt worried about class D vs class AB war over SQ for the reason I used class D amps in car audio like Hertz HDP4 and HDP1 and bennefits of class D are for me more grater then eventual loss in terms of SQ).
I chose it because its an amp and bluetooth reciver (after reading detail review on ASR forum and of course comments ) and it has volume dependant sub or aux out which is important to me because I will connect Polk Audio HTS 10 active sub to it to help little Denon SCM41 bookshelf speakers.For now I am happy because the sound is good, amp is powerfull, bluetooth connection is good and quality is ok, knobs are solid and nice to turn, and after reading that amp becomes warm even when not in use but powerd on I was little affraid of overheating, but when amp arrived I didnt experience such thing, i paired it with 48V 5A Fosi GAN power adapter. Amp doesnt get hot after few hours of listinening over BT on moderate volume and power adapter stays cool. Now next problem for me is to buy solid floorstanders to pair with the Fosi BT20A PRO and use it in the living room, and after that we will see and maybe try V3 monos with ZD3, but first I will enjoy in Fosi BT20A Pro and my little Denon speakers, especialy in combo with POLK HTS10 to help with low frequencies.

Tiny unit but sure plays hard, runs 2 orb audio speakers and a mini 8inch subbie from orb as well and no trouble playing crystal clear, - this review is on the 20A pro but I actually ended up with the 30d Pro as the sub is passive but it is awesome would highly recommend

The little Amplifier with the big sound.

I own this Fosi BT2.0 Pro for over a couple weeks now. It's connected to a pair of 80W/Ch 4 Ohms Bose Speakers. Amazing sound by the Fosi amp can drives the speakers. Very loud and also very clear crisp sound. I can turn the volume all the way to the max without breaking speakers but only beautiful sound with the adjustable treble and base. I like the feature where I can disconnect the bluetooth by pressing and hold the volume control since it is priortised the bluetooth connection. The price is very good for very well made amp. Excellent Tech Support team that answered all my questions and help me within a day or so. It took a long time to arrive when ordering from the Fosi website, perhaps because I was impatient but it was a lot faster when I purchased it from Amazon. Another good thing when ordering from Fosi website that I can ordered it with 48V power supply. It is amazing little amp.

Didn’t know it was on until the crystal clear music started to play

It’s such a low price and compact build. I must admit I had very low expectations. I hooked it up to my JBL 100s and linked it to my iPhone and the sound was amazing. I honestly thought it wasn’t working until the music started to play, there was absolutely no background, hits or distortion or noise of any discernible kind. Color me impressed!

Very impressive!

What a great little amp. My use case is a near field 2.1 set up on the work desk and BT the laptop to the amp.
It works great, the BT is rock solid and the sound is quality and if you want to jam it you can do that too. Very crisp and uncolored. Line out is useful in 2.1 setting … it would be awesome to have a built in crossover as my speakers are the little cult classic Minimus 7 and they are not great with base tbh!
But hey buy this amp it’s absolutely fantastic!

What sort of jack fits the speaker outputs???

I just received my BT20A Pro, but my old Polk Audio wall-mounted speakers have bare wire ends which used to feed into the back of the old stereo unit's speaker pinch jacks. I bought some RCA gold jacks that fit the Fosi's two line-in ports, but not the speaker output jacks, for some reason. My question is, what type of jack end would fit the Fosi's speaker output ports?
