Buyer beware

Fosi Audio does not honor their return policy. The noise floor on this unit is way too high. I've been trying to return the item for a month now and customer service is impossible to work with. Ive opened up multiple help tickets and they stop replying after they ask for me to send videos.

Fosi Audio Box X5 Phono Preamp

Great preamp. Definitely worth the price, sounds much better than what it's price might suggest.
Build quality is great, metal case feels definitely better than the plastic case many phono preamps at a similar price have.
I do not have another preamp available to compare, but hearing the same music from digital source, on the same system, does not have the same amount of detail, and as good soundstage. Can't really say how much of the difference is because of my new Rega planar 3 turntable, and how much is coming from the X5, but I am really happy I bought this.
Unfortunately I had to wait a bit more to use it, because the power supply that came with it was faulty, so I had to wait for a replacement, but the tech support was great, so no complaints there.
Can;t wait to hear this preamp after upgrading the speakers and the power amp.
