Used with Hifiman Sundara and the sound is SO amazing clear big sound stage but lacks sub bass and fixed with equalizer apo and now every thing rocks.
Make sure to use balanced cable with sundara cuz the cans will vibrate your brain !
Quite powerful and superb resolution!
Recently I purchased this amp directly from Fosi Audio at discounted price. I received it in India on 10th day. I checked this produced using my I Mac , Sennheiser HD 660S2 HI Resolution balanced wired headphone. Quality of sound is excellent. Before that I was using Bose QC 35 , noise cancelling amp directly connecting to Mac through Bluetooth. When I compared both systems, results are un comparable. Sound quality drastically improved with wired and balanced input through DAC. I am also listening internet radio through this DAC. Quality of sound further changed . I recommend this product for true music lovers.
My disappointment is that the SK02 will not play .dsf files natively and light the proper LED. Every sample rate of DSD I've tried (DSD64, DSD128, DSD256) switches to DoP at 384kHz PCM. My other favorite DAC is an SMSL C200 which I've used with both foobar2000 and Volumio. The C200 correctly shows the DSD sample rates from both foobar2000 and Volumio. From the ESS 9038Q2M data sheet, it clearly supports DSD. If you have any suggestions, please contact me.
My other lesser disappointment is that the SK02 does not play 88.2kHz, 176.4kHz or 352.8kHz PCM files at their native resolution. Each of those gets transcoded to 96kHz, 192kHz and 384kHz respectively.
I like the form factor, the sound is fine, customer service is great, but these shortfalls keep me from giving an excellent review. I own another Fosi product and think very highly of your company, so was not expecting these deficiencies. In fact there was some kind of shipping problem that two of your people sorted out. Both Carl and Mark finally got the SK02 shipped to me about 2 weeks late. I thank them for their actions.
Please, if you have any suggestions or updates I can apply to the SK02 firmware, I'm ready to work at it.

Through some glitch, the order wasn’t processed properly and I am unfortunately still waiting for the device. The good news is that FOSI was able to find and correct the error and I should have a device soon….
