Build quality is very high for the price

Picked up 5x V3 mono amps off Kickstarter soon after I got 4 ohm speakers (Kef R Meta) because I suspected the Denon x4800h might not be able to drive them to loud volumes. Was proven correct, the Denon would go into protect mode and reset when I turned the volume up too loud. I turned off the internal amps and configured to pre-amp only, and put these monos between the receiver and speakers.

Turns out these amps are a nice upgrade as well as giving me headroom. The sound is very transparent and resolving, but also authoritative. Bass frequencies sound just as great as the rest of the FR. Where there's no sound, these are silent - no hiss. The Kef Meta speakers all sing and can sing loud without much if any change in sonic character on these amps.

-10db is about as loud as I pushed before deciding my ears are more important than stretching the legs on these amps, but they sounded just as good here as anywhere else on the volume control.

I use RCA, haven't yet heard ground loops or similar. I do using the 10A PS hear a funky sound if I turn one of the 2 amps paired on the power supply to off - this is true after the filter even, but only when it's manually switched to off (as opposed to Auto). I don't think measurements show much of a difference in 1 vs 2 power supplies.

If I did complain - the horizontal orientation takes up a lot of room on a rack, and the main heat sink connects to the bottom of the chassis. Mounting feet on one side and standing the amp up sideways gives a lot more room. I'd prefer they included feet that we stick on the amps rather than assume they'll sit horizontally. That said, the amps are LIGHT and if standing sideways, be prepared to stand them back up several times if you're moving them around or working with the wires. Not an issue when done, but annoying while working.

And if you do stand sideways - add rubber feet, and be sure there's some room for air flow.

But still - compared to what these cost? I have no real issues, and am blown away at the quality provided at this price point. Great stuff.

So far so good & need more hours & testing of my 2 new V3’s. Impressed so far & power is plenty. Sound is great & trying more than one set of speakers to break in & see how they perform. Thanks!

Where do I begin. These little monoblocks are high value at an affordable price. I will be surprised if they don't win any awards.
I will begin with the cons because there really is only two for me. Technically three but the third doesn't affect as much as others.
The Negatives:
1. These amps run pretty dang warm.
-I would suggest cleaning off the thermal paste that is under the amp chip plate and re-applying new thermal paste and spread it out evenly. I would also suggest replacing the amp rubber feet with some bigger/taller ones to add more space underneath. I ended up taking the rubber feet off and adding some cooling fins instead. I also added cooling fins on top of the amp. Planning to add some pc fans to sit them on top of.
2. The RCA input doesn't sound as clean as the XLR input. There is a really soft hum when there isn't any sound going but that is short lived when they turn off in stand-by mode.
3. For my system, there is enough power and the sound level is more than enough. I can see though where if you had a large room and/or insufficient speakers that there wouldn't be enough power. I ran these with my Elac unifi 2.0 ub52s and kef q150s. They were loud enough for me.

Now for the positives:
1. XLR input sounds extremely clean and accurate.
2. Imaging is amazing. Very immersive. (Tested this with stock op amps and with sparkos, opa1612, opa1656, and opa2134.)
3. Bass is clean and punchy.
4. Enough power to run my Kef Q150s in a medium sized room and small room. Please refer to reason number 3 on the negatives if you have hard to power speakers.
5. As one might have guessed it, the separation on these are also another positive. The level of separation depended on the op amp being used.
6. I like to tinker so one positive for me is the different combination of op amps you can use in position 2 and 3.

I use these amps in our living room setup so they get used for music, movies, tv shows, streaming, video games and they pass the test for every one. One thing to note though, if it is a bad recording or poor quality of mic for streaming, It will come across.

Overall, these monoblocks made a huge leap for affordable gear with quality sound. I would suggest utilizing XLR with these amps and in your system if you want the highest quality. I can't wait to see what else Fosi Audio comes out with. If they stick to creating these type of products. They are going to be one of the top companies for affordable audio equipment.
